Canelo alvarez returned to ring on Saturday, hoping to extend the reign of his undisputed super-middleweight title.

To continue his championship run, the 33-year-old was tasked with getting past the undefeated knockout artist Jaime Munguía. Canelo was able to navigate the storm despite having to deal the heavy hands his countryman.

Canelo alvarez, as we have come to expect, put on an incredible display in the squared circle. His record now stands at 61-2-2. It was his 22nd career decision victory, and he successfully defended his undisputed super-middleweight title.

Jaime Munguia was not afraid to trade blows in the pocket with the champion. The challenger’s volume and performance was impressive. It proved that he can hang with the best of the world.

Canelo alvarez proved he is still one of the top fighters in the world by cruising to victory. As the fourth round was coming to a close, Canelo landed a perfectly-timed uppercut which sent Munguia crashing to the canvas–which was the first time the power puncher had been knocked down in his career.
