Charles Oliveira faces UFC 300 opponent

The UFC 300 fight cards is starting to take shape, and it got even better when UFC president Dana White announced former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira was going to be on the card.  

Oliveira will face Arman tsarukyan on the main bill, likely.  The fight will be an elimination title bout, with the winner facing champion Islam Makhachev in later this year.  

White announced via an Instagram video that “for UFC 300, the number one lightweight Charles Oliveira will be fighting against number four Arman Tsarukyan as a number-one contender fight.”  White said via Instagram video that “Oliveira had been supposed to face the champ Islam Makhachev but Islam was still recovering from a injury.”  Tsarukyan has just beaten Beneil Darieush in a brutal knockout.  The winner will be Islam this summer when he returns.”

UFC 300 will take place on the 13th of April at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.  The historic event has only seen a few matches announced.  So far, only a few bouts have been announced. Heavyweight match between former champion Jiri.
