Conor McGregor intends to use the surgically repaired leg in his UFC comeback.

McGregor fractured his leg in 2021. He has since needed a rod for his leg as part of his rehab. The Irishman, who has been out of action for nearly three years, is now getting closer to his return.

McGregor announced that he would be returning to fight in June, against Michael Chandler, at International Fight Week. The Irishman will win his return match by head-kick KO using the broken leg.

“God bless medical science. God bless my pockets and my net worth, as well as my ability to pay for the best possible care. I had the best care,” McGregor said on This Life of Mine with James Corden (via MMAFighting). “I am ‘Terminator’ now. My titanium rod goes through my leg and to the bone. It even extends to my ankle. It’s unbreakable, so I have free reign to kick now, so I’m ready to go and I’m excited. I want to kick an opponent with this steel bar embedded in my leg and get them out. I would like to see myself in an octagon, with my leg broken. Then I’d like to see myself in an octagon, with my leg wrapped.
