Conor McGregor may not have competed in combat sports since two years ago, but that hasn’t stopped him from succeeding outside the cage. Conor McGregor, former UFC two-division champion, made his first foray into acting and, despite mixed reviews, his movie was a big success.

The Notorious was a key player in the 2024 remake Road House, a cult classic from 1989. Elwood Dalton, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, is a former UFC fighter now working as a roadhouse bouncer in the Florida Keys. His new life is turned upside down when he must use his fighting background to protect himself from the trouble that is coming his way. Most notably, the ruthless Knox.

Road House has only been available for a little over a month and is already a massive success on Prime Video. The movie set a new record, attracting 50 million global viewers within its first two weekend of release. It was the biggest opening for Prime Video in its 18 year history.
