Conor McGregor's UFC 303 return breaks record, becomes highest gate in company history


Conor McGregor’s return to octagon has created a lot of buzz since its announcement. The insane record recently broken is a good example.

The Notorious is accustomed to taking long breaks from competition, but a devastating leg injury has caused him to take a break of almost three years this time. In order to put the injury behind him, ‘The Notorious’ plans to compete once again this year. He is targeting the highly-anticipated UFC 306 in Las Vegas Sphere.

Dana White said that the intrigue of the Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler super-fight had reached new heights. According to UFC CEO Dana White, UFC 303 is expected to surpass a $20million gate a full month before the event, making it one of the biggest gates in company history.

White, speaking at the UFC St. Louis press conference after the UFC 303 fight, said that the UFC 303 gate had already exceeded $20 million.
