Jorge Masvidal announces a return to active retirement


We are only a few days into the New Year and already we have some big news from the world of mixed martial arts. Jorge Masvidal hinted at a possible return to mixed martial arts less than a year following his first retirement.

Despite a poor run of performances that led to his retirement, ‘Gamebred’ remains one of the most recognizable names in MMA. His legendary run in 2019 rocketed him to stardom, and fans were involved with his career until his last outing inside the Octagon years later.

Now it looks like Masvidal’s retirement was just temporary. He could be returning soon. The welterweight announced his unretirement in a brief post on social networking sites, and the fans were mostly happy.

Masvidal’s Future is a subject of speculation, even though not much was revealed. Some fans have questioned whether Masvidal’s return will take place under the UFC or somewhere else.

Years ago, the former 170 lbs champion was linked to a boxing venture but it never materialized.
