Josh Emmett echoes calls for title eliminator fight with UFC star Max Holloway: ‘He fought everyone but me’


Josh Emmett called out Max Holloway after a knockout victory over Bryce Mitchell. 

Emmett, who had suffered two consecutive losses in his career, was looking to win the next fight against Giga. However, the Georgian withdrew from the bout due to an injury. Mitchell would take the fight on late notice and pre-fight opinion was split after Emmett’s recent outcomes and that he was now 38. 

Emmett would only take Emmett under two minutes to deliver a devastating shot with his right hand. Mitchell was knocked out in a single blow. Mitchell remained rigid in unconsciousness, before begging for the seize. 

Max Holloway is the next opponent for Josh Emmett

Emmet is now back on the featherweight scene and could find himself in a major fight. 

Appearing on Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s podcast, Emmett specifically named Holloway as who he would like next.

“I want to get back to that title, that’s my goal,” Emmett said on the JAXXON RADIO PODCAST  (h/t MMA Junkie). “I’m going to do whatever it takes to become a world champion, and I want to fight someone in front of me.
