Junior dos Santos Talks Gamebred BKMMA Title Win


Junior dos Santos clinched Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA’s heavyweight title with a powerful knockout over Alan Belcher. It was a huge victory. Dos Santos suffered significant facial injuries during the fight.

Dos Santos was able to free himself from Belcher’s grip on the cage, but he was then hit with a punch which severely dislocated his nose. The former UFC heavyweight champ continued to fight with multiple displaced noses and visible facial lacerations throughout the rest of the match.

Dos Santos vividly remembers the moment of impact. However, he was not immediately affected by pain. In an interview with MMA Fighting magazine, dos Santos recalled the incident.

“The only punch that really connected on me was the one that broke my nose. I could feel it when he broke his nose. In the video you can see that I felt my nostril move to the left. [of my face] and I said, ‘Oh my gosh, I broke my nose!’ I didn’t feel anything but, ‘I broke my nose again!’ Broken nose, a lot of blood, and it makes a very bloody fight, but that was it.
