The odds were stacked against ‘Blessed,’ as he faced Justin Gaethje in his UFC 300 fight on April 13, 2013. Holloway proved that he was one of today’s greatest fighters, even though he competed in a higher class of weight against one the most brutal fighters who has ever graced the octagon.
Max Holloway, to celebrate his win at UFC 300, shared a look behind the scenes. Holloway was seen in the footage sharing moments with former UFC champ Kamaru Usman as well as Gaethje’s trainer Trevor Wittman after his successful night at the cage.
Holloway talked about the fight with a friend on the phone immediately after his victory.
“Those last 10 seconds were for you.” Holloway said, “You told me all week to ‘just throw’.” “All week.”
“I hurt him. “I was hurting him. He had the most insane look in his eye every time I hurt him. I was like, ‘F*** this.’ “I ain’t try nothing dumb.”
