On Friday, May 3 ONE Championship returns to U.S. primetime. ONE Fight Night 22 features 11 exciting contests covering four different martial arts. The free event on Prime Video will please martial arts fans.
Smilla Sunddell, a teenage sensation, will defend the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title. It will be Russia’s Natalia Diachkova who attempts to stop the Swede’s dominant run this time. A stunning upset will crown a new champion, or a rising star will continue her ascent as one of the sport’s most intriguing athletes.
On the card are three additional Muay Thai fights, featuring Sinsamut Klnmee and Dmitry Menshikov in the lightweight division. Sean Climaco’s ONE debut may attract more attention from U.S. viewers. The Bay Area native beat Josue C. Cruz at the Road to ONE tournament to earn his spot on the global stage.
Maurice Abevi will be attempting to make a splash in the lightweight division. Reece McLaren will face Hu Yong in a flyweight bout to see who can become a title threat by 2024. Chihiro sawada will face Noelle Grandjean, in a pivotal match.
