Sage Northcutt Planning To ‘Hit Shinya Harder Than He’s Ever Been Hit In His Life’ At ONE 165


Sage Northcutt will finally get his chance to fight Shinya Aoki on Sunday 28th January when ONE Championship comes to the Ariake Arena. He will also compete in Japan, which is a first in his career. The matchup has the “Super” one very excited for the new year.

“I’ve always dreamed of fighting in Japan, so getting to fight on ONE 165 on January 28 is going to be very exciting. I’m looking forward to starting off the year with a great performance. I like to finish my fights if I’m able to, to make it as exciting for all the fans as possible. The fans are definitely going to be in for a treat, that’s for sure. This is huge,” Northcutt said ONE.

Northcutt will be able to win back-to-back matches and establish himself as a contender in the crowded lightweight division. Aoki, who was a former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion before joining ONE, has a wealth of experience. The Californian knows what this means to his career.
