Sean Strickland admits he let Chris Curtis take the sparring session with Brendan Allen before losing to him

Sean Strickland, Chris Curtis and their sparring partners are well-known for being hard-hitting. But that was not the case when Curtis faced Brendan Allen on short notice.

The Action Man didn’t want to fight because he wanted time with family following the birth of his daughter. When the UFC asked him to replace the injured Marvin Vettori and face Allen, he was eager to accept.

Chris Curtis only had three weeks to prepare himself for the five-round main match against ‘All In.’ Sean Strickland claims that Curtis, his friend, was not in the best of shape before Saturday’s fight. Strickland then used unconventional techniques to help Curtis gain confidence.

Strickland stated that the UFC filmed Curt. “I sparred with him for one round and let him win.” The camera crew [were] They know me.

“I told him, if I sparred him even remotely hard, it would make him lose confidence in this fight. He’s out of shape. No excuses, but [Brendan Allen should] “Take zero pride in this win.”
