Tom Aspinall Believed He’d Be Given “Freak Show” Fight With Brock Lesnar At UFC 300, Uncertain About Next Move

Since winning the UFC interim heavyweight title at UFC 295, Tom Aspinall has made it clear that he isn’t happy to just sit around and wait for the conclusion of Jones vs Miocic.

Jones, current heavyweight champion is still recovering from a recent operation, so it’s unclear when he can fight Stipe. UFC president Dana White insists on the fight despite the fact that most fans are not in favor of it.

Following his win this past November, Aspinall admitted that he wanted to fight on the upcoming UFC 300 event, but there wasn’t a particular fight that made sense.

In a recent interview with OLBG, Aspinall admitted that he was expecting the UFC to give him a ‘freak show’ fight with Brock Lesnar, or for them to try and figure something out with current light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira.

“With the Jones palaver and all the politics around that, I was thinking they’d maybe give me some freak show kind of fight against Brock Lesnar, or maybe at UFC 300 they’d do something a bit out there like Alex Pereira but that doesn’t look likely now, I have no idea my next move, I’m kind of waiting about.”
