In the UFC 298 main match, the defending Featherweight champion is in contention for the gold medal. Alexander Volkanovski meets Ilia Topuria. Volkanovski is defending his title for the sixth time after losing to Islam Makhachev at UFC 294, on short notice. For Topuria this is his very first title fight.

Whittaker looks to rebound after a loss against current champ Dricus Plessis. Costa is hoping to build upon a hard-fought win over Luke Rockhold during UFC 278.
