The UFC Apex will be hosting the UFC Vegas 86 fights on Saturday for the second time in a week. The middleweight fight between Jack Hermansson, and Joe Pyfer is the main attraction of this event.
Hermansson is (23-8), coming off of a loss against Roman Dolidze, ranked tenth in the division. Hermansson has not fought a fight since December 2022. He has struggled for the last five years to win a streak, and is stuck in a pattern where he wins one fight then loses the next. However, he’s ranked 11th.
Pyfer (12-2), is on a winning streak of five fights, having defeated each opponent. He lost his last fight in 2020 and has only ever fought to a third or decision round in his career. This is a classic match between a younger, more inexperienced fighter and an older, more experienced veteran.
Hermansson, the first weigh-in, was 185 pounds. Pyfer came in second at 185.5 pounds.
