Jon Jones, in a statement that contradicted earlier claims to the contrary, has stated that he was not arrested for his alleged actions against an anti-doping official.
Bones, as he is known by many, was the first mixed martial artist to compete. However, his career wasn’t without challenges. He has remained out of trouble and matured, but he still gets into controversy.
Jon Jones, just a few days ago was accused of threatening a drug-testing officer who visited his house to perform a routine test. Jones then took to Twitter to deny the reports. He claimed that Crystal Martinez was making up a story.
Jones stated in his statement: “Hello, everyone. I would like to correct some misinformation which has been spreading this morning.” “I woke to false reports that said I was arrested.”
“I was not arrested.” “I am in Texas right now with my daughters for a volleyball tourney.”
“It’s disappointing, but I know that my past may make me an easy target.”
