Eighth-ranked women’s flyweight Amanda Ribas headlines this weekend’s UFC Vegas 89 fight card against former two-time strawweight titleholder Rose Namajunas.
Ribas is ready for the biggest fight of his career.
Ribas stated during the UFC Vegas 89 Media Day, “I have always thought that I would face the best Rose Namajunas.” “I am prepared to face the best of her.”
Ribas (13-4) is coming off a stunning spinning wheel kick finish over Luana Pinheiro in her last fight but hasn’t put together back-to-back wins since 2020. She hopes to change this on Saturday. Ribas believes that winning over Namajunas would earn her an opponent in the Top 5.
“I had a great time last year when I fought three times. This year, I’m hoping we can have three fights.” I enjoy being active in the octagon. “I hope that if I do win, God blesses me, I will be able to make Top 5 and possibly go for the belt,” said she.
Ribas wants to complete the fight, even if it means going five rounds. After all, a finish is usually required to earn a bonus.
